A Massachusetts high school football team lost the state title because their quarterback was penalized for raising his hand while scoring the game-winning touchdown. (Full video is on the linked page.) According to the coach whose team benefited from the penalty, “We try and play by the rules, and the rule is ‘no celebrating’”.
No celebrating? Seriously? For God’s sakes we’re not letting our kids show emotion on the field anymore. I think I’m going to be sick.
